Affordable Health Care

Georgia is in the midst of a health care crisis.  Rising medical costs, insurance inflation, unemployment and reduced employment benefits have combined to hit the middle class with a wave of unmitigated costs.

The incumbent says your health care is not his problem.  And how is Georgia’s health?  Currently our citizens are worse off than many third-world nations. The infant mortality rate is often used as an indicator of general wellness of all people living in a region. The infant mortality rate in Georgia is among the highest (worst) in the nation – and the United States already has a very high infant mortality rate among industrialized nations.  Some of the factors affecting infant health include poverty, low birth weight, availability of maternity care and breastfeeding rates.

Elect me as your Representative, and I will work hard to improve the health and wellness of all Georgia’s citizens, from maternity care through elder care.

You’ll never hear me say that your health is not my problem.

Quality Education

A recent government poll found that half of Georgia residents believe our school systems are “good” or “excellent.”  Objective measures paint a very different picture.

As a representative of the people of Georgia, I will encourage both innovation and common sense in our school system.

The quality of education we offer today determines the state of our economy tomorrow.

Economic Growth

Georgians are hard working people, but in recent years we have seen the rich get richer while the poor get poorer.  The cost of living continues to increase.  Remember when gasoline was under a dollar?  Yet Georgia’s working class bears the yoke of the tax burden.

I believe Georgia government should look out for all citizens – not just the very poor and the super-rich.  The middle class does not have access to all the tax loopholes enjoyed by the rich, and should not be taxed as heavily.  The tax code can be adjusted to provide relief for middle class families without a loss of state revenue.  Georgia can rise out of poverty.

Let’s raise Georgia out of poverty with a strong, healthy middle class.
