Meet Jeannie
Jeannie
is the daughter of Sandra Bonner Babb, of the
Burning Bush area, and Roger Babb who was raised in Dug Gap and Mill
Creek. Roger and Sandra met at Ringgold High School after his parents
moved to
Ringgold to found Walter Babb & Sons Lumber (now Babb Lumber
Company,
Inc.)
Jeannie
finished
Ringgold
High School
with honors,
attended UGA
on Presidential Scholarship and later graduated magna cum
laude from
Bryan
College
with a BS
in
business administration. Jeannie’s work
history includes the launch of several ministries and businesses. She has also served as Partnership 2000
liaison and Insurance Trustee for several local businesses.
Today, Jeannie lives in Ringgold with her husband Derek
Taylor (son of Betty Taylor
and blue grass musician Lewis Taylor) and a houseful
of beautiful
children. She attends
Battlefield
Parkway
Church
of the
Nazarene. As chief financial officer and
part owner of several small businesses, Jeannie successfully balances
parenting
with her career and community service.
In her spare time, she writes historical fiction.
